Job summary

The Greenskeeper at Ultipro in Florence, Kentucky supports the golf course maintenance team by landscaping and maintaining the course areas. The role requires hands-on work Mon–Thu, with added Friday half-day and one weekend day as scheduled.

Key duties include mowing greens and fairways, irrigation management, soil preparation, sod laying, planting and hedge trimming, plus applying fertilizers and pesticides. A strong emphasis on organization and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Job description

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.

Job schedule is Mon - Thurs 8 hours each day, Friday 1/2 day, one weekend day (Sat. or Sunday) 1/2 day.
