Job summary

American Golf Corporation is looking for a Greens Keeper to maintain the golf course greens, tees, fairways and roughs in top condition for daily play. The role requires physical labor, attention to detail, and teamwork with course staff to ensure a pristine playing surface and smooth operations for members and guests.

You will operate and maintain greens and fairway equipment, monitor irrigation and chemical applications, and assist with course setup for events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in golf course maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of golf course equipment and machinery.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and repair problem areas on the course.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and application techniques.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain golf course greens, tees, fairways, and roughs using specialized equipment such as greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, and trimmers.
• Maintain bunkers, including raking and edging sand and repairing damaged areas.
• Install and repair irrigation systems as needed.
• Monitor and adjust chemical applications for fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
• Assist with course set-up for tournaments and events, including flag placement, tee marker placement, and course markings.
• Maintain equipment and tools used in daily tasks.
• Work collaboratively with other greenskeepers and golf course staff to ensure the course is always ready for play.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper handling and storage of chemicals and equipment.

Working Conditions

• Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.


• Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.


• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
