Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database system software to ensure robust security and performance
• Monitor and analyze database performance for optimal utilization and availability
• Maintain database dictionaries, support tools, and documentation for accuracy
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on database systems and tools
• Implement business continuity and disaster recovery solutions, including backup strategies

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Greenplum administration experience, including performance tuning and optimization of complex SQL queries
• Hands-on experience with Greenplum tools such as MADlib, PXF, and others
• Strong SQL development skills and experience in data warehousing environments
• Proficiency in Bash scripting, Python, and UNIX/Linux (RHEL) environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ETL tools such as IBM DataStage or similar
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Databricks and Spark-based data processing
