Greenhouse worker, Logistics Division/Shuttle Driver: Work in the logistics division only. Job duties include operating forklift and pallet jack to load, unload and move greenhouse plants and materials. Logistics workers will operate passenger vans over the road to drive themselves and other farmworkers from place to place. Workers may pick up workers from different housing sites or pick up points and take them to assigned work sites, and at the end of the work day take them back to the housing site or pick up point. May make trips to grocery stores, laundromat, airport, government agencies, airport, bus terminal, medical and dental offices. The employer assures that shuttle all drivers will be paid the offered wage rate for actual driving time, trips to the gas station, and time spent maintaining the vehicle. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. All testing will occur post-hire and is not a part of the interview process. Negative result may be required post-hire and before commencing work. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must not hinder another worker’s productivity. Use of personal cell phones or other personal electronic devices during working hours is strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by a U.S. state or foreign equivalent and operate the company vehicle in accordance with the license restrictions and vehicle classifications applicable to that license. Must commit to work for the entire contract period.

Excessive absences and/or tardiness cannot be tolerated and may result in termination.

Daily individual work assignments, crew assignments, and location of work will be made by and at the sole discretion of the employer and/or worker’s supervisor. Workers may be assigned a variety of duties on any given day and/or different tasks on different days. Workers will be expected to perform any of the listed duties and work on any crop as assigned by the employer and/or worker’s supervisor.

Housing: Rental or public accommodations

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Workers will buy their own groceries. Once a week, the employer will provide (on a voluntary basis) transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries. These board arrangements apply only to workers living in employer-provided housing. The employer will neither provide nor charge for meals.
