Job summary

BrightFarms, a national leader in indoor farming, is seeking a Production Supervisor to monitor day-to-day operations and drive improvements across growing, packaging, warehousing, and food safety. You will develop and train employees across a 24/7 operation on multiple shifts and help standardize best practices while collecting KPIs.

The ideal candidate has a 4-year degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, agriculture, or related area, 1–3 years in agriculture or food manufacturing, and

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, agriculture, or related area.
• 1–3 years of related work experience in agriculture and/or food manufacturing.
• Experience with continuous improvement processes and/or manufacturing production systems.
• Exhibit leadership, critical thinking, and strong communication to set high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring operations: Keeping an eye on day-to-day operations and reporting on performance.
• Drive improvements and projects across the growing and food manufacturing facility to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and train employees across a 24/7 operation on multiple shifts.
• Develop and implement procedures as needed across growing, packaging, warehousing, maintenance, and food safety.
• Promote a food safety culture at the farm.
• Standardize best practices and create forms to collect KPIs.
• Communicate effectively with employees from shop floor to leadership.
• Be willing to assist in additional tasks to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide Production Supervisor coverage as required.
