Job summary

FuntoNetwork is seeking a Public Safety CAD Solution Architect for a CAD system replacement project in Cary, NC. Join a contract/project-based opportunity to design availability, dispatch, mapping interfaces, security and resilience for public-safety operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute CAD architecture scope for Public Safety CAD replacement project including availability, dispatch, mobile, mapping, interfaces, security, resilience and support.
• Confirm conditions, needs, criteria, interfaces, constraints and acceptance requirements for the work package.
• Produce calculations, design basis, drawings, specs, schedules and technical decision records for review.
• Resolve reviews, RFIs, substitutions and design changes; support testing and handoffs.
• Maintain records of status, decisions, blockers and evidence; align with project management and other workstreams.
• Coordinate interfaces and handoffs with management, business analysis, technical, field and operations teams.

The Opportunity

FuntoNetwork is seeking a Public Safety CAD Solution Architect for upcoming project opportunity: Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System Replacement Project.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute the Public Safety CAD Solution Architect scope for Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System Replacement Project: Design CAD availability, dispatch, mobile, mapping, interfaces, security, resilience, and support architecture for public-safety operations.


• Confirm existing conditions, stakeholder needs, governing criteria, interfaces, constraints, and acceptance requirements for the work package.


• Produce the calculations, architecture or design basis, drawings, specifications, schedules, estimates, and technical decision records required for review.


• Resolve interdisciplinary reviews, constructability or implementation comments, RFIs, substitutions, and approved design changes.


• Support implementation testing and commissioning; reconcile final comments and deliver approved record documents and technical handoff materials.


• Trace assigned work to the RFP scope, requirement or RTM row, deliverable, dependency, acceptance criterion, schedule milestone, and supporting evidence.


• Review official solicitation materials and addenda affecting this workstream; document assumptions, open items, exclusions, risks, and required client decisions.


• Prepare role-specific technical inputs, work products, estimates, implementation details, quality records, and proposal or post-award delivery evidence.


• Coordinate interfaces and handoffs with project management, business analysis, technical, field, quality, compliance, training, and operations workstreams.


• Maintain status, issue, decision, change, and evidence records and elevate blockers before they affect submission or delivery readiness.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience performing Public Safety CAD Solution Architect responsibilities in public-sector, regulated, enterprise, or comparable environments.


• Ability to produce complete, reviewable work products tied to requirements and acceptance criteria.


• Strong documentation, stakeholder coordination, risk awareness, confidentiality, and deadline discipline.


• Relevant licenses, certifications, clearances, insurance, or local delivery capacity when required by the solicitation.
