Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced GRC Lead to drive assessment, rationalization, and modernization of technology operational controls in a large financial services environment. This role requires deep expertise in technology risk, IT audit, control design, and stakeholder engagement, with hands-on experience in regulated banking settings.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in technology risk, IT audit, GRC, or controls transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment and rationalization of technology operational controls with risk alignment and evidence.
• Review control inventories to identify gaps, overlaps, obsolete controls, and optimization opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops with control owners, technology teams, risk and compliance stakeholders.
• Develop recommendations to retain, consolidate, enhance, or retire controls.
• Update control definitions, ownership, scope, frequency, and evidence expectations.
• Ensure alignment with FFIEC, COBIT, NIST, and ITGC standards.
