Job summary

Plaid is building an empowered Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Engineering team. You will define and scale an emerging discipline from the ground up, turning compliance into code and continuous telemetry.

You will own the engineered foundation, dashboards, and risk signals, partnering across Security Assurance, Third-Party Ecosystem Risk, and Risk Management. This role calls for deep engineering rigor, cloud security expertise, and a passion for automating controls and evidence

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL with API/webhook integrations.
• Own an internal tool or service end to end — design, build, operate, and maintain.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native security controls.
• Proficiency with dashboarding/data-visualization tools to turn control and risk data into KPIs.
• Model controls, policies, and framework mappings as structured data.

Responsibilities

• Architect GRC's Engineering Foundation: build pipelines and codified truth for controls and policies.
• Build Continuous Controls Monitoring: automate evidence collection and monitoring across systems.
• Turn Data into Risk Signal: create dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership.
• Drive Data-Informed Risk Assessments: conduct risk assessments with data-driven mitigations.
• Automate Operational Toil: reduce manual tasks through durable automation.
