Job summary

Harmons Grocery in Salt Lake City is seeking a Grocery Associate to help maintain quality, freshness and product assortment in the grocery department. You will receive, stock, rotate products and provide exceptional customer service.

The role requires attention to pricing, signage, organizing displays, and assisting the Grocery Manager with ordering based on sales. Weekend, evening and holiday availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the grocery department
• Maintains appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the grocery department
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, with emphasis on ad items
• Ensures store is cleaned daily and meets appearance standards
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Receives, stores and stocks a wide variety of grocery products
• Pulls out-of-date products from shelves
• Builds end-cap and other product displays
• Assists Grocery Manager with ordering to meet store needs based on sales
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Sets a professional and positive example to others
• Assists as needed to support store success
• Performs other related duties as assigned

$15.00 - $19.48 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, freshness and product assortment is maintained in the throughout the store, specifically in the grocery department.This person will be receiving, stocking and rotating product, facing product, taking special orders, and providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the grocery department
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the grocerydepartment
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Ensures the store is cleaned daily and meets the company standards for appearance
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Receives, stores and stocks a wide variety of products for the grocery department
• Pulls outof date product from the shelves
• Builds end-cap and other special product displays
• Assists Grocery Manager with ordering product to meet the needs of thestorebased on past and projected sales
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Sets a professional and positive example to others
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole

MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
