Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Grocery Associate to maintain quality, freshness, and product assortment in the grocery department. You will receive, stock, rotate products, face shelves, take special orders, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include ensuring pricing accuracy, keeping the store clean, building displays, and assisting with ordering to meet store needs based on sales projections. Weekend/evening availability is required to support store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Understanding of product rotation is important.
• Should enjoy working with grocery products and have a passion for customer service.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock and rotate grocery products to maintain quality and freshness.
• Verify pricing accuracy and proper signage, especially for sale items.
• Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory for the grocery department.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers as needed.
• Ensure store cleanliness and professional appearance every day.
• Assist with ordering to meet store needs based on sales data.
• Support the Grocery Manager with daily tasks and store goals.

$15.00 - $19.48 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, freshness and product assortment is maintained in the throughout the store, specifically in the grocery department.This person will be receiving, stocking and rotating product, facing product, taking special orders, and providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the grocery department
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the grocerydepartment
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Ensures the store is cleaned daily and meets the company standards for appearance
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Receives, stores and stocks a wide variety of products for the grocery department
• Pulls out of date product from the shelves
• Builds end-cap and other special product displays
• Assists Grocery Manager with ordering product to meet the needs of thestorebased on past and projected sales
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Sets a professional and positive example to others
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole

MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
