Job summary

Oasis Ascent is seeking a youth mentor for a part-time, overnight role in Utah. You will help create a safe, supportive environment for teens in crisis and work with licensed clinicians to assess needs and determine actions.

The position emphasizes making a real difference for youth and their families. Responsibilities include providing around-the-clock care, building trust, and supporting families as they begin healing.

Qualifications

• Pass criminal background check.
• Pass a pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Pass motor vehicle record check.
• Current Utah driver’s license (within 30 days of employment).
• First Aid & CPR certification (we may provide).
• ICC certification (we may provide).
• Good time management.
• Works well within a team.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude.
• Able to emotionally self-regulate.
• Able to stay mentally present and alert while working.
• Patient and kind.
• Good judgement.
• Safety-oriented.
• Effective communicator including listening, writing, and speaking.
• Firm, healthy boundaries.
• Over 20 years of age.

Responsibilities

You'll work closely with licensed clinicians to assess their needs and determine the best course of action for their individual situations.
