PIRG is hiring campaign associates to advance solutions for health, safety, and the well-being of consumers. You will educate, mobilize, and organize across the political spectrum to support reforms at local and national levels.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, top-notch writing, and public speaking skills, plus a willingness to learn and travel regularly, including evenings and weekends. Training and oversight are provided as you build campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Educate and mobilize public support: conduct online and in-person outreach.
• Build coalitions across organizations and constituencies.
• Earn traditional and social media attention: organize news conferences and write opinion pieces.
• Organize events and work with volunteers: webinars, community events, and public meetings.
• Recruit new people to your team: volunteers, interns, and staff.
• Run a grassroots campaign office in summer: fundraising and team management.
• Participate in organizational projects and trainings across campaigns.
