## Description**GRASS CUTTER – PART TIME****Pay: $12.00 per hour****GENERAL PURPOSE**Performs outdoor grounds maintenance for the City of Wheeling, ensuring safe and well-maintained public spaces.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Mow and maintain grass in city-owned areas.* Operate and maintain grounds equipment, including cleaning, greasing, and washing; report any maintenance issues.* Follow all work zone safety procedures.**WORK ENVIRONMENT*** Primarily outdoor work in all weather conditions.* Exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, heat, cold, and wet/humid conditions.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS*** Regular use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment.* Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.* Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.## Qualifications**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*** Must be at least 18 years old.* Must have a valid driver's license* Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment.* Ability to follow oral and written instructions.* Effective verbal and written communication skills.* Strong commitment to safety.* Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.* Able to perform physical tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.
