Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. in Alabama seeks a Grapple Truck Operator to drive a manual transmission grapple truck, transporting wood, debris, and materials to and from job sites. You will use a knuckle boom and grapple to load and unload logs and branches, and perform routine maintenance.

This role requires operating outdoors in all weather, with overtime opportunities during storms and peak seasons; full benefits, PTO, holidays, and health coverage are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with airbrake endorsement.
• Experience operating grapple trucks, cranes, or similar heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects as needed.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a manual transmission grapple truck to transport wood, debris, and other materials to and from job sites.
• Safely operate a knuckle boom and grapple attachment for loading and unloading logs, tree trunks, and branches.
• Perform cleanup at job sites to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Conduct routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, including checking fluids, bolts, filters, and greasing bearings.
• Promptly report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the foreman or operations manager.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and be available for additional shifts as needed, such as storm cleanup or weekend jobs.
• Track inventory and prepare reports for management as required.
