Job summary

Volt Energy Materials LLC is seeking a Technology Manager to lead R&D initiatives onsite in Alabama. You will oversee graphite processing development, pilot plant activities, and scale laboratory work toward manufacturing with strict safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a strong track record in chemical engineering or materials science, plus leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and coordinate with customers and funding bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience in graphite processing and development across industrial, battery, and defense sectors.
• Experience with pilot plant commissioning, start-up, and operations.
• Ability to translate customer specs into marketable products and scale-up processes.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to plan and execute R&D projects on time, budget, and safety.
• Improve graphite products and scale laboratory processes to manufacturing.
• Upgrade and maintain R&D facilities with EHS guidelines; manage site landlord relationships.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, QA, regulatory affairs, and other teams.
• Lead or participate in meetings with customers and government agencies.
