Valar Atomics is seeking a Graphite Production Lead to run day-to-day graphite machining operations and lead a growing CNC team. You will own production scheduling, tooling strategy, and quality standards from programming through final inspection, while mentoring staff and coordinating with engineering and EHS on safe handling of abrasive material.

The role requires 5+ years in CNC, 3+ years in a lead role, and proficiency with ESPRIT EDGE or Fusion 360.

Formación

• 5+ years of CNC machining or programming experience, including graphite or other abrasive materials.
• 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role over a machining or production team.
• Proficiency with CAM software (ESPRIT EDGE, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Strong understanding of tooling wear, feeds/speeds, and work-holding for abrasive materials.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, schedule, and mentor a team of CNC programmers and machinists focused on graphite production.
• Own tooling and consumables strategy for graphite machining and wear management.
• Review and refine CNC programs and toolpaths for graphite parts with programmers.
• Ensure dust collection, ventilation, and PPE protocols are followed for safety.
• Coordinate production priorities with Management to hit build timelines.
• Partner with Engineering on design-for-manufacturability and first-article inspection.
