Job summary

Job description

The Opportunity:

Perform and document quality audits, verify job completion, understand job sheet. Check job specifications to carton, learn to Make-ready machine, monitor carton quality, maintain materials for production, complete necessary reports (forms), maintain housekeeping to standards set by management, complete line clearance and additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, ear plugs, Appropriate Gloves, Safety Shoes, Hair and Beard net if applicable, Bump Caps if applicable and Level 7 Sleeves if Applicable

Summary: Performs printing functions by assisting Printing Press team with daily tasks. Follow general safety and compliance with all workplace rules, policies, and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include following instructions of the Press Operator. Assist with make-ready procedures, plate changes, ink and blanket changes, and handling loading and delivery of board to and from the Printing Press. Conduct preventative maintenance, quality control, properly dispose of printing waste. Resupply pressroom supplies as needed. Perform accurate record keeping. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualification / Requirement:

The ideal candidate must possess strong mechanical aptitude and have the capacity to understand the printing process in its entirety.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, safety shoes, earplugs, cut resistant gloves, hairnet, and beard net (if necessary), hard hat (When required).
