Job summary

A dynamic design company in New York is seeking a support role for graphic design. You will assist in creating and maintaining spec packs, ensuring product design readiness with overseas factories. The ideal candidate has a degree in Product/Graphic Design and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required. This role involves multitasking across various product seasons and attending weekly team meetings to align on design intent.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or product design is preferred.

• Ability to track and detail specifications for factories.

Responsibilities

• Support graphic and product design teams in creating spec packs.
• Attend weekly meetings with designers to understand design intent.
• Build spec packs for inline seasonal graphics and collaboration projects.
• Build spec packs to support graphics and ensure technical execution at factory level
• Create spec packs for inline seasonal graphics, chase adds, and collaboration projects
• Support during tight calendars to extend this work each season

Job description

Background and Team

This role will support the graphic design, product design and graphic technologists with creating and maintaining spec packs and graphic charts.

Responsibilities

• Ability to track readiness of product with overseas factories
• Background in design/graphic design a plus
• Ability to multitask - work on multiple product seasons at once
• Ability to detail out a graphic to send to a factory to be made.
• Workflow for this role will include attending weekly team meetings with designers to understand design intent of graphics and then building the spec packs to support this, considering technical execution at a factory level.
• Spec packs will be needed for all inline seasonal graphics, as well as all chase adds, and Collaboration projects. As we work on such a tight calendar, the need for this support will continue each season.

Qualifications

• Product/Graphic Design degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
