Job summary

icreatives in Bethesda, MD is seeking two Graphic Designers for a one-year contract (Dec 2026 – Nov 2027) to work onsite. You will translate complex medical, military, and command information into compelling visual communications and manage projects from concept through final production.

A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience, mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, and experience in healthcare or public affairs are required; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience with branding, print & digital layout, and data visualization/infographics.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) with print/digital production/pre-press experience.
• Experience in healthcare communications, military public affairs, or similar regulated environments.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA and PHI safeguarding in visual products.
• Strong project-management skills with high-volume workloads and strict deadlines.
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics using Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and production of command-level publications, public-health campaigns, patient-education materials, environmental graphics, digital signage, and social-media content while maintaining brand standards.
• Act as project lead for graphic-design requests, develop timelines, manage production calendars, coordinate requirements and feedback, and ensure timely delivery.
• Translate complex medical and scientific concepts into accessible infographics and visual aids for patients, families, staff, and senior military leadership.
• Create and edit photographic and video assets and integrate them into broader visual-communications products.
• Collaborate with public-affairs and communications personnel on major hospital events, initiatives, and crisis-communications scenarios.
• Manage review and approval workflows and present concepts/final products for leadership sign-off.

Pay Rate: $45 - $55/hr.

One of the nation's leading military medical centers is looking for (2) two highly creative and strategically minded Graphic Designers to serve as primary visual storytellers, translating complex medical, military, and command information into compelling, high-impact visual communications and managing projects from concept through final production.

Minimum / Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating branding, print and digital layout, and data visualization/infographics.
• Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with familiarity in print and digital production, pre-press, and digital file preparation.
• Proven experience in healthcare communications, military public affairs, or a similar regulated, high-visibility environment.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) safeguarding requirements in visual products.
• Demonstrated project-management skills, including management of high volumes of concurrent work, prioritization, and firm deadlines.
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is a significant advantage.
