Job summary

Aquent is seeking a skilled Motion Designer to craft compelling motion graphics and video assets for global marketing initiatives. You will blend artistry with technology to deliver engaging visual storytelling across customer-facing content, social channels, and product experiences.

With 2–4 years of experience, you will collaborate with design, product, and business teams, maintain brand consistency, and drive production timelines while delivering high-quality, accessible video content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2–4 years of professional motion design, video editing, or digital production.
  • Proficient in After Effects and Premiere Pro; familiar with Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Clipchamp.
  • Working proficiency in Figma and collaboration with product designers.

Responsibilities

  • Create motion graphics, edits, animations for marketing and social content.
  • Translate narratives into compelling video assets for storytelling.
  • Edit to improve pacing, visual quality, and brand alignment.
  • Use product assets and UI designs to generate accurate video content.
  • Apply typography, composition, timing, and visual hierarchy consistently.
  • Manage file naming, asset organization, versioning, and delivery timelines.
  • Communicate risks and blockers that affect delivery quality or timing.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and business stakeholders to translate feedback.
  • Offer creative recommendations to improve storytelling and asset performance.

Your Impact And Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality motion graphics, video edits, animations, and visual treatments for customer-facing, marketing, and social media content.
  • Translate original files and product narratives into compelling video and motion design assets, developing polished visual executions that support storytelling, product education, and customer engagement.
  • Edit and refine video content to improve pacing, clarity, visual quality, and overall impact, ensuring final deliverables are accurate, brand-aligned, accessible, and ready for publication.
  • Use and update product assets, UI designs, and prototypes to create accurate, current content for video captures and motion sequences.
  • Apply strong visual design judgment across composition, timing, typography, hierarchy, pacing, and storytelling, maintaining consistency with brand guidelines and design direction.
  • Manage production responsibilities including file naming conventions, asset organization, version control, and delivery tracking, ensuring clear timelines, milestones, and status updates.
  • Proactively communicate risks, blockers, dependencies, and changes that may affect delivery quality or timing.
  • Partner with design, product, and business stakeholders to understand goals and translate feedback into effective creative execution.
  • Contribute creative recommendations that improve storytelling, customer understanding, and asset performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Film/Video Production, Digital Media, Studio Art/Fine Art, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional motion design, video editing, or digital production experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience using additional creative tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience and background with products, including Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Clipchamp.
  • Working proficiency in Figma, including the ability to navigate design files, update product content, prepare assets, and coordinate with product designers to ensure video captures accurately reflect the intended experience.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, video editing, visual storytelling, and polished production execution.
  • Experience creating video and motion assets for marketing, customer-facing, social, digital, or product-related content.
  • Strong understanding of motion principles, typography, pacing, composition, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
  • Ability to manage file organization, naming conventions, version tracking, timelines, milestones, and production deliverables.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience creating motion or video content for technology, productivity, SaaS, or enterprise customer scenarios.
  • Familiarity with accessibility considerations for video, including captions, readable text, contrast, and clear visual communication.
  • Experience working in structured production environments with formal review cycles, stakeholder feedback, and delivery tracking.
