NJPAC in Newark seeks a Graphic Designer to collaborate across departments and produce consistent work for the NJPAC brand, including program books, brochures, journals, digital campaigns and social assets.
The role requires strong typography, print and digital design skills on MAC with the Adobe Creative Suite; ability to manage time-sensitive projects and work both independently and with a team; familiarity with HTML, email design and print production is a plus.
The Graphic Designer is responsible for collaborating to produce consistent work across the NJPAC brand and NJPAC’s various departments. Work would include, but not limited to, designing and producing program books, brochures, journals, digital ad campaigns and social media assets. The job requires an ability to work across a range of media to create designs that effectively communicate the needs of the organization.
Work closely with the Associate Art Director and Creative Director.
Design marketing and collateral materials to promote events.
Produce well executed designs for web, digital and print. Plus prepare design for final output and production to ensure they meet all media and output requirements.
Assist in implementing, maintaining and organizing materials on server and digital asset management system.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Knowledge of how to design for print vs digital.
3-6 Years’ Experience Required.
Strong typography and design skills
Experience in design for print and various printing methods. Plus, knowledge of multi folding methods for brochures.
Knowledge of how marketing and brand design works.
Advance knowledge of MAC platforms, including the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Adobe Premier and Adobe After Affects is a plus but not essential.
Ability to work well independently, as well as within a team.
Ability to complete time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of HTML, Email design, Canva, plus a working knowledge of print procedures and production.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts preferred.
