Position Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Starter team. This role will be responsible for creating and executing compelling print and graphic designs that align with the Starter brand identity, seasonal trends, and commercial objectives. A knowledge of and passion for sports is a strong plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify relevant seasonal trends and present new color palettes, graphic concepts, and design ideas.
  • Communicate with factories to stay informed of new printing techniques, capabilities, and innovations.
  • Identify brand-appropriate and trend-right allover prints for upcoming seasonal collections.
  • Interpret and adapt allover prints for each delivery through resizing, modifying, and recoloring artwork.
  • Ensure prints and graphics are cohesive within each seasonal delivery and align with overarching design themes and the Starter brand aesthetic.
  • Prepare prints and graphics for factory execution, including color separation, repeats, printing techniques, and color pitches using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Track print development and provide timely feedback on samples and strike-offs throughout the development process.
  • Partner with Legal to ensure designs are not trademarked and are approved for use.
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, and domestic and overseas factories to support accurate execution of prints and graphics from concept through production.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop compelling, commercially relevant designs that support the brand and drive sales.
Who You Are:
  • A creative graphic designer who is passionate about developing compelling, commercially relevant designs.
  • A vocal and collaborative team player who works effectively across functions and contributes ideas and perspective.
  • A detail-oriented professional with a strong eye for cohesive design and brand identity.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can adapt graphics and prints to meet development and production requirements.
  • A highly organized self-starter who thrives in a high-energy, fast-turn environment and is comfortable working against short deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and passion for sports is a strong plus, but not required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Print Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of professional graphic or print design experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Strong understanding of allover print development, CAD design, color separation, repeats, and print production techniques.
  • Ability to research seasonal trends and translate concepts into commercially relevant graphics and prints.
  • Experience communicating with domestic and overseas factories and managing print development preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and short deadlines simultaneously.
  • CV/Resume and work samples (Portfolio URL) required for initial consideration.
What We Offer:
