Job summary

American Management Association (AMA) is seeking a Graphic Designer who can translate marketing strategies into compelling visuals across print and digital channels. You will own production from layout through final delivery and collaborate with Creative Services, Marketing, and Product teams.

The role requires a strong portfolio, 3–5 years of experience, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud. This exempt, full-time position is based in New York with potential for travel based on business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience across print and digital.
  • Strong online portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, typography, layout, visual storytelling and brand application.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Experience designing and producing multi-page publications, catalogs or similar materials, including print production and file preparation.
  • Experience creating digital assets for advertising, email, web and social media.
  • Solid design fundamentals, including typography, composition, color, visual hierarchy and information design.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines and track projects using project management applications.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to respond effectively to creative direction and feedback.
  • Ability to translate creative briefs and marketing objectives into effective visual solutions.
  • Interest in emerging design technologies and AI-assisted creative workflows.
  • Motion graphics or video experience with After Effects, Premiere or Animate is a plus.
  • Ability to travel based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the details. Take projects from initial concept through design, revisions, production and final delivery.
  • Make information visual. Turn complex content, research and marketing messages into clear, compelling communications.
  • Strengthen the AMA brand. Apply AMA brand standards consistently while finding opportunities to evolve the creative.
  • Collaborate across teams. Work closely with Creative Services, Marketing, Product and other teams to develop stronger ideas and executions.
  • Balance a busy workload. Manage and track multiple projects, priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Explore what’s next. Experiment with emerging design trends, technologies and AI-assisted creative tools that can improve the work and how we create it.

Graphic Designer

Exempt Full-Time New York Headquarters, New York, NY, US

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

AMA is seeking a Graphic Designer who brings strong creative thinking, excellent design skills and a sharp eye for detail. You’ll develop concepts, design across print and digital channels and carry projects through production and final delivery.

If you’re equally comfortable brainstorming a campaign, designing a catalog, building digital assets and preparing files for production, you’ll fit right in.
