Job summary

Sophia, an end-to-end agentic matchmaker startup, seeks a UI/Brand Designer to shape our app UI, social visuals, and design system. This in-person Miami-based role requires hands-on design across product and marketing assets, collaborating with founders and engineers to move fast and iterate based on member feedback.

The role emphasizes brand translation, social-first creative, and relationship-driven product experiences for a growing startup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of brand and/or product design experience.
• Strong visual design skills in typography, layout, color.
• Experience designing mobile app UI and social-first creative.
• Based in Miami and able to work in person.
• Experience with dating or lifestyle brands is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own brand identity translation across app UI and social/UGC.
• Design product UI/UX for app and web in Figma from flows to dev-ready screens.
• Build and maintain Figma design system and component library.
• Create social creative for Instagram, TikTok and X.
• Partner with UGC creators and social manager on direction and briefs.
• Design marketing assets: landing pages, emails, ads, decks and event materials.
• Work with the founder and engineering to ship quickly and iterate.

About the role

Shape how Sophia looks and feels everywhere, from our app UI to the social and UGC creative that brings new members in. This role is based in Miami, in person.

What you'll do

• Own Sophia's brand identity translation into every visual touchpoint of our users both internal and external.
• Design product UI/UX for the Sophia app and web in Figma, from flows to polished, dev-ready screens.
• Build and maintain our Figma design system and component library.
• Create social creative for Instagram, TikTok and X: posts, carousels, stories and short-form video assets.
• Partner with our UGC creators and social media manager on creative direction, templates and briefs.
• Design marketing and growth assets: landing pages, email, ads, decks and event materials.
• Work closely with the founder and engineering to ship fast and iterate on member feedback and data.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of brand and/or product design experience, with a portfolio that shows both
• Strong visual design skills: typography, layout, color and a sharp eye for detail
• Experience designing mobile app UI and social-first creative for consumer brands
• Comfortable moving fast and owning design end to end at an early-stage startup
• Based in Miami and able to work in person

• Experience directing UGC or influencer content
