About the role

We are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join Forterra’s marketing team. This role will

You’ll work closely with marketing, communications, growth, product, and other teams to create

distinctive, on-brand work that communicates Forterra’s technology, mission, and impact.

This role complements our Content Designer by focusing more deeply on visual identity, campaign creative, graphic design, and brand execution across a wide range of formats

What you'll do
  • Design high-quality creative for digital and print channels, including marketing campaigns, social media, web, events, advertising, recruiting, signage, collateral, and internal communications

  • Create campaign identities, key art, graphics, illustrations, iconography, infographics, and other visual assets
  • Develop and evolve Forterra’s visual language while maintaining consistency with established brand standards
  • Support major company moments including product launches, announcements, trade shows, demonstrations, recruiting initiatives, and industry events
  • Create scalable design systems, templates, and asset libraries that enable teams to work quickly while maintaining brand consistency
  • Partner with the Content Designer on presentations, reports, technical collateral, and other materials requiring both strong information design and visual execution
  • Collaborate with marketers, writers, engineers, product leaders, and executives to understand project goals and develop creative solutions
  • Prepare production-ready assets for digital, print, environmental, and large-format applications
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high bar for craft, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback while protecting the integrity and consistency of the Forterra brand
  • Work with external vendors, agencies, photographers, printers, and production partners as needed
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within an in-house marketing or creative team, agency, or fast-paced technology organization
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand design, marketing creative, typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Strong understanding of typography, hierarchy, color, imagery, grid systems, and fundamental design principles
  • Experience designing across both digital and print formats
  • Ability to take a project from initial concept through final production
  • Strong understanding of brand systems and the ability to apply guidelines consistently while still finding opportunities to push the creative
  • Ability to simplify complex or technical information visually without losing accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present and articulate design decisions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Comfortable receiving feedback, iterating quickly, and collaborating with stakeholders across different disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with technology, defense, automotive, robotics, autonomy, aerospace, industrial, or similarly technical brands
  • Experience creating visual identities and creative systems for campaigns, product launches, or major events
  • Experience with environmental graphics, trade show design, signage, or large-format production Illustration, photo editing, retouching, or image-compositing skills
  • Experience with motion graphics or animation tools such as Adobe After Effects
  • Familiarity with Figma and modern digital design workflows
