Job summary

Wiley Rein LLP in Washington, DC seeks a seasoned designer to manage a broad range of creative projects, maintain the firm’s visual identity, and build scalable design workflows. You will produce ads, collateral, presentations, and digital assets across InDesign, PowerPoint, Word, and email platforms.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Manage and produce a broad range of creative projects, including advertisements, displays, event collateral, intranet graphics, presentations, promotional items, publications, social content, video, websites, and other digital or print collateral, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Act as brand steward to maintain the firm’s visual identity, uphold logo usage standards, and design workflows and templates that enable internal teams to produce brand compliant collateral across InDesign, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; create branded assets for digital systems including apps and email marketing.
  • Build and maintain digital asset libraries for firm email marketing, intranet, website, social media, video, and other digital channels.
  • Source and evaluate stock photography and illustrations, and manage an organized image library for firm use.
  • Maintain a consistent attorney portrait library for internal and external collateral.
  • Coordinate with external vendors such as consultants, commercial printers, and freelancers; request estimates, manage proofs, and align expectations between vendors and internal clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support to concept and produce litigation demonstratives that illustrate narratives through data visualization for trials or hearings.
  • Partner with attorneys and legal staff to develop client matter visual collateral, including enhanced photography, timelines, graphs, infographics, maps, object illustrations, and visual comparatives; manage projects for timely delivery.
  • Assist with publishing and formatting communication materials including publications, podcasts, and firm news.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of United States Patent and Trademark Office rules to produce patent drawings, corrective replacement drawings, and trademark art and specimens.
