Job summary

A leading infrastructure solutions provider is seeking a Graphic Design Intern for Summer 2026 in Austin and surrounding Texas areas. This full-time role involves supporting the Public Engagement team with visual communication projects, including graphics for reports, presentations, and community events. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be enrolled in a related program. A portfolio showcasing prior work is required, along with familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office applications.

Qualifications

Portfolio required to be submitted with application.
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Basic administrative support skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist management in analyzing various data.
Participate in meetings and interface with various teams.
Work on special projects and provide research as needed.
Perform various tasks specific to a functional area.
Help with routine inquiries and appointments.

What We're Looking For

Our Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio, TX offices seek a Graphic Design Intern for Summer 2026.

Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.

You will work with our Public Engagement team, delivering accessible visual communication pieces for our Engineering and Planning groups. Get an inside look at delivering transportation projects through:

Document design and page layout
Presentation design
Collateral design for community events
Mapmaking and wayfinding
Data visualizations/infographics
Project branding/identity

This opportunity entails, while under close supervision, assist assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic and routine administrative support work and other related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary business curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.

What You'll Do:

Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquiries and making appointments.
Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
Assists management in analyzing various data.
Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
