JOB DESCRIPTION

To facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts of skills and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able, and responsible members of society.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate support for the school system and its vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Provide rigorous curriculum that aligns with Alabama Department of Education (ALSDE) and Career & Technical Education (CTE) Course of Study.
  • Sponsors a Career Technical Education Student Organization (CTSO) and participates in at least one program-related competition per year.
  • Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, school and agency counselors and related service providers in the overall educational plan for students enrolled in the education setting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the individual education service and transition plan for students enrolled in the education setting.
  • Engages in professional growth & demonstrate professional ethics & leadership.
  • Use current technology for instruction and management purposes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to compile and analyze data, interpret the laws, policies, and regulations pertaining to the work.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft suite
  • Effective oral and written communication.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s Degree in Graphic Arts or Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Graphic Design, or in a related area or
  • Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate in the career technical subject area

Must meet Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements or a willingness to meet the requirements within the designated timeframe.

Note: Employment experience gained in the private employment sector may be considered when filling specified positions, which are not traditionally in the education field, but include specialized training or certifications.
