Job summary

Gannon University is seeking a Coordinator for Grants, Sponsored Programs, and Research to support the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research. The role involves monitoring funding opportunities, coordinating proposal development with campus leadership and faculty, and ensuring compliant submission of grant proposals.

The coordinator will also educate staff on grant procedures and manage grant portals and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Two or more years of grant-related experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, proofreading and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read instructions and enter data accurately.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently.
  • Ability to research and compile qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Ability to work with supervisors and divisional teams across campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor government and foundation websites for funding opportunities; create solicitation summaries.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on proposal writing teams.
  • Prepare and submit sponsor forms; lead overall proposal submission.
  • Provide grant education and training for faculty and staff.
  • Maintain access to grant portals (grants.gov, research.gov, foundations portals).
  • Maintain institutional documents (board lists, 501(c)(3), cost agreements).
  • Develop and maintain a grant and report calendar.
  • Provide guidance to ensure post‑award reporting requirements are met.
  • Make decisions related to the OSPR in the absence of the Director.
  • Manage office operations and portal site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned per mission.
