Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a Research Administration Specialist/Coordinator in the School of Social Work to manage pre- and post-award processes for multiple PIs. You will handle budgets, proposals, and award administration, with duties spanning coordination with human resources, purchasing, and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant business/finance field.
• Experience in pre- and post-award sponsored programs administration preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist PIs with pre-award budget development, narratives, and proposals.
• Process post-award activities: budget management, burn rates, extensions, and closeout.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and assist with grant contracts and subawards.
• Provide training and collaborate on policies, templates, and process improvements.
• Attend SPaRC events and stay updated on research compliance.
