Job summary

The Sponsored Projects Specialist (SPS) at University of Illinois Chicago will provide administrative and analytical support for proposal development and non-financial post-award administration to ensure University-sponsored projects comply with regulatory requirements and sponsor guidelines.

Responsibilities include budget preparation, proposal analysis, and serving as the liaison to funding agencies. A Bachelor's degree is required, with 1–3 years in sponsored programs preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–3 years in sponsored program administration or related field.
  • Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 and FAR; fund accounting basics.

Responsibilities

  • Review proposals for compliance with sponsor rules and regulations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and documentation for proposals.
  • Coordinate submission of proposals and act as liaison to funding agencies.
  • Develop policies and training related to sponsored programs.
