Qualifications

• Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance.
• Makes sound, well-informed and objective decisions; evaluates impact and implications.
• Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
• Knows the organization’s mission, functions, and regulations to operate effectively within them.
• Equivalents: training or education gained through college/university and progressively responsible experience in program planning/implementation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor $16–$18 million annually in federal Sport Fish Restoration and State Wildlife Grant funds.
• Ensure grant proposals, agreements, expenditures, and activities comply with federal requirements.
• Serve as the Division’s subject-matter expert on federal grant programs and provide guidance.
• Collaborate across fisheries management, research, and operations to administer federally funded projects.
• Apply critical thinking and communication to support funding decisions and program delivery.
• Occasional travel for site visits, conferences, and training.
