Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Grants Manager: Admin & Finance in the United States. The role oversees financial administration, compliance, reporting, and monitoring of grants and contracts to support mission-driven programs.

You will collaborate with program managers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate records, high-quality reporting, and adherence to federal/state requirements. This is a full-time remote opportunity limited to CT, MA, or RI residents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field; 5 years grants/contracts management experience or equivalent.
  • 3 years in a mid-market nonprofit healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience coordinating or preparing grants and contracts, including federal contracting and grant compliance.
  • Knowledge of subcontractor management and conflict-of-interest requirements preferred.
  • Experience with confidential information and drafting policies, procedures, reports, and proposals.
  • Strong knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
  • GAAP knowledge and current accounting practices.
  • Connecticut State Cost Standards and/or federal Uniform Grant Guidance familiarity.
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office suite; Adobe and Access beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools for timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making and program management.
  • Track grant-purchased and grant-constructed assets and development projects.
  • Monitor procurement, sub-recipient requirements, and compliance obligations.
  • Review policies to ensure alignment with federal/state requirements.
  • Prepare financial and grant/contract reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure audit and reporting compliance and prepare grant/contract summaries for audits.
  • Develop budgets and projections for grants and contracts.
  • Participate in grant implementation meetings and provide financial guidance.
  • Identify reclassifications and journal entries for grant cost centers.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve grant-related issues.
  • Stay current with evolving grants management practices and standards.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Grants Manager: Admin & Finance based in United States.

As a Grants Manager, you will oversee the financial administration, compliance, reporting, and monitoring of grants and contracts within a mission-driven environment. You will provide financial analysis and insights that support effective program management and informed decision-making. The role covers grant budgets, projections, reporting, audits, assets, procurement, and compliance with federal and state requirements. You will collaborate with program managers and cross-functional teams to resolve financial and grant-related issues. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills will be essential for maintaining accurate records and high-quality reporting. This is a full-time remote opportunity limited to residents of Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island.

Accountabilities:
  • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making, effective program management, and operational planning.
  • Track and monitor grant-purchased assets, grant-constructed assets, and development projects.
  • Monitor procurement, sub-recipient requirements, and other grant and contract compliance obligations.
  • Review and monitor policies and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable federal and state requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, grant and contract reports, and internal financial status updates for program managers and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and reporting requirements and prepare grant and contract summaries for audits.
  • Develop budgets and financial projections for grants and contracts.
  • Participate in grant implementation meetings and provide financial and administrative guidance.
  • Identify and process reclassifications and journal entries when required for grant cost centers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve grant-related financial, reporting, and compliance issues.
  • Stay current with evolving practices, regulations, and standards related to grants and financial management.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and assignments as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred, with 5 years of relevant experience including grants or contracts management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in a mid-market organization, preferably within the nonprofit healthcare sector.
  • Experience coordinating or preparing grants and contracts, including federal contracting and grant compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of subcontractor management and conflict-of-interest requirements is preferred.
  • Experience working with confidential information and drafting or editing policies, procedures, reports, and proposals.
  • Strong knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Well-developed financial analysis skills and knowledge of GAAP and current accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of Connecticut State Cost Standards and/or federal Uniform Grant Guidance standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and common Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with Adobe and Microsoft Access is also beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools for creating and tracking timelines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques.
  • Professional, collaborative, organized, and approachable working style.
  • Must reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island.
