Job summary

Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) in Washington, DC, oversees the Commercial Revitalization Division and administers citywide grant programs including Main Streets Program and Clean Teams Program.

The incumbent will serve as DSLBD’s subject matter expert for grants management, ensuring activities, expenditures, and deliverables align with laws, regulations, and program requirements while guiding internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience is experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.

Responsibilities

• Manages Main Streets Program grants, including grant processes to ensure compliance with District regulations and best practices.
• Establishes and maintains a grants information database and develops and/or maintains grants management planning tools, such as automated systems for financial information and reporting.
• Reviews proposed budgets and tracks grant expenditures to ensure compliance with established grant program guidelines.
