Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Grants Program Analyst to support grant administration for domestic violence programs within the Operational Effectiveness Consulting family. You will assist pre‑award and post‑award processes, coordinate with program staff and DOJ stakeholders, and help ensure timely grant delivery.

The role involves data analysis, process improvements, and cross‑functional collaboration to develop standardized reports that demonstrate program impact and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of consulting and/or related experience in federal government grants or financial management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOJ public trust.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to programmatic queries from management and program staff.
  • Support grants management and grant program administration with program staff and DOJ stakeholders.
  • Assist staff with ad‑hoc programmatic requests throughout the fiscal year.

What You Will Do:

To support its mission, our client requires grant programmatic assistance to administer financial and technical assistance grants for communities developing programs, policies, and practices aimed at addressing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. In this role, Team GH will support the Program Specialist POC throughout the grant‑making lifecycle by providing technical support across pre‑award and post‑award processes to help ensure timelines are met, including:

  • Responding to programmatic queries from management and program staff.

  • Supporting grants management and grant program administration by collaborating with program specialists, associate directors, finance staff, and DOJ stakeholders.

  • Assisting staff with ad‑hoc programmatic requests throughout the fiscal year.

  • Tracking programmatic monitoring activities.

  • Developing process improvement strategies—including process flows, templates, and narratives—and providing recommendations to the Grants Development and Management Division for implementing improvements across the grants management lifecycle.

  • Performing data analysis to support programmatic inquiries and ad‑hoc reporting needs, including topics such as performance results, financial status, audit support, and compliance.

  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders (Program Assistants, Program Specialists, GFMD, Associate Directors, Finance Staff, and DOJ) to understand data needs, recommend appropriate formats, and interpret results to inform program decisions.

  • For recurring program requests, partnering with stakeholders to establish efficient, repeatable processes that produce standardized reports and consistently reflect the client’s impact on mission goals.

What You Will Need:
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN DoJ “PUBLIC TRUST”; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.

  • FOUR (4) or more years’ relevant consulting and/or related experience in federal government grants, financial management, budget, or human capital arena.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Strong preference for Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Familiarity or knowledge of UFMS, JustGrants, or similar type systems and how to extract and use the data contained within these systems.

  • Experience evaluating business processes and procedures. Employ best practices to improve procedures.

  • Experience performing gap analyses of existing policies and procedures.

  • Strong analytical and written skills, and advanced Microsoft 365 experience.

  • Demonstrates the ability to understand client needs, participate within a team environment, and communicate throughout internal and external network in a manner that allows for successful execution of tasks.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
