Job summary

BASIS Ed is seeking a Compliance Management & Grants Specialist to support grants submissions, ensure compliance, and partner with schools on monitoring cycles. This role may be located at our Scottsdale Central Office or our Texas Central Office in San Antonio, TX.

The position requires at least 3 years in public charter schools, grants management, and grant writing with strong organizational and research skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory state background check.
• 3+ years' experience in public charter schools.
• 3+ years' experience with federal grants management.
• 3+ years' experience with grant writing and programmatic compliance.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement process improvements for compliance.
• Assist in drafting and maintaining charter school policies and grant procedures.
• Coordinate with school leadership and finance to prepare grants applications and budgets.
• Develop grant-related needs assessments and integrated action plans.
• Provide training and technical support on grant program and compliance requirements.
• Oversee grant compliance monitoring and liaise with state agencies as needed.
• Respond to public records requests and related compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, School Management, and Finance teams to support needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
