Job summary

The Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) stewards the movement of people applying evidence, reason, and compassion to global problems, from poverty to AI risk. We are growing and looking for a Grants Associate to handle grant administration and due diligence so donations reach the right recipients.

You will not decide which projects to fund, but you will determine how much the fund can handle as it grows, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently while maintaining rigorous checks and donor trust.

The Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) stewards the movement of people putting effective altruism principles into practice to solve the world's most pressing problems. We're working to build a flourishing future by applying evidence, reason, and compassion to challenges like global poverty, animal suffering, and risks from transformative AI.

Een subsidiefonds kan maar zoveel aanvragen beoordelen als zijn beoordelaars tijd hebben. Elk uur dat zij aan administratie en controles kwijt zijn, gaat niet naar de vraag welk project steun verdient. Als Grants Associate neem je dat werk over en zorg je dat miljoenen dollars aan donaties zorgvuldig bij de ontvangers aankomen. Je kiest niet zelf waar het geld heen gaat, maar je bepaalt wel mee hoeveel het fonds aankan nu het snel groeit.
