Job summary

Children’s Hunger Alliance in Ohio seeks a Grants Development Associate to research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals for programs addressing childhood hunger. You will identify funders and craft persuasive narratives that communicate impact and funding needs.

You will work closely with organizational leadership and program staff to gather statistics, budgets, and success stories, ensuring timely submissions and strong funder relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelore2s degree in a relevant field or related area.
  • 2-3 years of grant writing experience for a nonprofit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to translate complex program information into clear narratives for funders.
  • Strong research skills to identify prospective funders and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with CHA's mission.
  • Develop grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with leadership and program staff to assemble data, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Prepare timely grant reports and renewals, tracking deliverables and outcomes.
  • Manage multiple proposals and deadlines with strong attention to funder requirements.
  • Maintain organized electronic files and funder communications.
