Job summary

EnviroVoters and the Ed Fund are seeking a Grants Specialist to secure and renew institutional grants by writing strong proposals and reports, researching prospects, and coordinating information across teams. You will collaborate with the VP of Philanthropy and the institutional giving team, manage deadlines, and maintain Raiser's Edge NXT and SharePoint records.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of grant writing or related fundraising experience in a nonprofit environment.
• Persuasive writing skills and the ability to turn complex policy and advocacy work into compelling cases for support; writing samples required.
• Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information to identify and qualify funding opportunities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals, reports, and deadlines at once.
• Comfort gathering information from colleagues across departments and following up to get what is needed.
• Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Raiser's Edge or a similar CRM preferred.
• Passion for environmental protection, racial justice, and meaningful social change.

Responsibilities

• Write compelling proposals and reports for institutional funders, meeting all deadlines on the grant calendar.
• Research and qualify new institutional funding opportunities aligned with EnviroVoters' and the Ed Fund's priorities.
• Process grants with the development team, including recording awards and documentation in Raiser's Edge NXT and SharePoint.
• Maintain the institutional grant calendar of proposals, reports, and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal reviews, collect budgets and attachments, and submit applications through funder portals.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and HR processes, pursuing professional growth in grant writing and fundraising.
