Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Strong writing skills with high grammar and spelling proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple timelines and work independently.
• Knowledge of California foundations and corporate community funders desirable.

Responsibilities

• Compose, compile and edit grant applications that are compelling and well developed.
• Research funders and align their interests with program outcomes.
• Stay informed about community needs and issues impacting funding.
• Coordinate with Program Managers, Directors and CEO to align agency needs with proposals.
• Maintain grant files and funder databases, deadlines and MOUs.
• Ensure funders' reporting requirements are met in coordination with accounting and program staff.
