Goodstack is seeking a Grant Writer to lead high-quality grant research, writing and review for our nonprofit partners. You will identify opportunities, craft compelling narratives and ensure drafts are accurate, funder-ready, and impactful.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ grant writing experience for nonprofits or mission-led organisations.
• Understanding funding landscapes, eligibility criteria and funder priorities.
• Ability to translate rough context into persuasive, funder-ready narratives.
• Confidence using AI tools to support research, drafting, editing and QA, with strong human judgment.
• Ability to take responsibility, communicate early, and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
• Attention to detail; manage deadlines, geographic nuances, funding restrictions and structural requirements.
• Partner-first communication; combine warmth, clarity, and sound judgment in every interaction.
• Process discipline; maintain clear systems, workflows, and organized approaches.

Responsibilities

• Research funding opportunities and curate grants tailored to mission and programmes.
• Draft LOIs, grant applications and supporting narratives aligned to funder requirements.
• Use AI to increase quality, pace and consistency without compromising accuracy or tone.
• Review drafts to ensure accuracy, persuasiveness and funder-readiness.
• Manage delivery across multiple partner relationships, keeping work moving and expectations clear.
• Build deep context by engaging with around 25–30 nonprofit partners at a time, understanding goals and impact.
• Help strengthen grant support processes to scale impact without compromising quality.
