Job summary

Homeless Remedies, Inc. is seeking a Grant Writer in New York to identify, define, and develop funding sources for current and planned programs.

The role leads the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. The ideal candidate has a bachelor degree and 5+ years of grant management and/or public sector funding experience (NYS, City, and Federal grants).

• Bachelor degree required; 5+ years of grant management and/or public sector funding experience (NYS, City and Federal).

Responsibilities

• Study and understand the history, structure, objective, programs, and financial needs of the organization.
• Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
• Draft grant proposal and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
• Submit proposal to grant leadership for approval.
• Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
• Maintain positive relationship with fund providers and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of methods and practices of grant & contract reporting.
