Job summary

The Tennessee Department of Health seeks a Grant Readiness & Capacity Coordinator to develop, organize, and sustain the infrastructure, resources, and technical assistance that strengthen grant readiness across federal, state, philanthropic, and private funding opportunities.

You will lead the Office of Grant Coordination’s internal systems, proposal resources, and knowledge management to ensure consistent readiness, efficiency, and competitiveness across divisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Two to four years of grants, project management, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated organizational, project coordination, and process improvement skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve grant readiness toolkits, templates, checklists, timelines, and standardized resources.
  • Conduct organizational grant readiness assessments and identify opportunities to strengthen preparedness.
  • Develop readiness scorecards, recommendations, and improvement plans to boost competitiveness.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain proposal libraries and reusable resources.
  • Coordinate grant readiness workshops, learning sessions, and technical assistance.
  • Monitor funding opportunities and maintain calendars and intelligence resources.
  • Analyze funding trends and communicate strategic opportunities aligned with goals.
