Job summary

Johnson C. Smith University invites applications for a Senior Director of Development to advance the annual fund and identify major gifts for the University and its programs.

This grant-funded, in-person role reports to the Executive Director for Development and Planned Giving for Institutional Advancement and External Affairs. The successful candidate will manage a donor portfolio, lead reunion and annual giving campaigns, and collaborate with alumni relations to engage alumni and foundations.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant field.
• At least three to five years of significant fundraising experience.
• Experience with computerized databases and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual giving and reunion gift programs to meet fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with alumni relations to establish and manage reunion class gifts.
• Manage a donor portfolio and track gifts in CRM; engage alumni and foundations.
• Represent the University on external committees and civic partnerships as assigned.
