A comprehensive administrative and research services to assist faculty on the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in preparing grant application for submissions to various federal and non-federal agencies. To be liaison between faculty and AU's research institute for all grant submissions. Conducting biomedical research related to prostate, bladder, and kidney tumors and assist principal investigator in laboratory management. Expertise in preparation of biomedical grant-related budget justifications, obtaining regulatory approvals and computer programming related to grant applications and budgets. Conducting laboratory research and staff supervision including experience in small animal surgery, human subjects research biochemical, tissue culture and molecular biology techniques, maintaining of laboratory records. A strong scientific publication record which demonstrates participation in conducting collaborative and independent research projects.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or related field with 3 years of experience in business, finance, accounting or other related field.
Knowledge of Uniform Guidance, , and Augusta University policies and procedures. Experience with federal and privateelectronic research administration systems such as ASSIST, Workspace, Research.Gov, and Proposal Central. Experience with PeopleSoft Financials to include queries and purchasing. Experience in a research area/department, accounting field, or sponsored
program administration.
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B11
Salary: $56,600.00/annually-$65,800.00/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
