Job summary

The Oregon Criminal Justice Commission in Salem is hiring a Grant Coordinator (limited duration) to develop, administer, and evaluate statewide grant programs. You will conduct analyses, set program standards, determine eligibility, ensure compliance, and advise agencies on best practices to improve public safety.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Business or Public Administration or related field or seven years of relevant experience; strong budgeting, reporting, and communication skills;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences or seven years' related experience.
  • Experience with grant management, budgeting and expense tracking, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience applying laws, rules and policies and developing grant guidelines, processes and procedures.
  • Experience working with local governments, Tribal governments, and community-based organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, administer, and evaluate statewide criminal justice grant programs by conducting analyses, establishing program standards, determining eligibility and compliance, and advising agencies on best practices to improve public safety.
  • Plan, conduct, and report on analyses related to the distribution and use of grant funds to demonstrate program effects on public safety outcomes.
  • Analyses include adherence to standards, resource allocation, cost-benefit analyses, and trend analyses in criminal justice and related areas.
