City of New York’s NYC Health Department is seeking an Accountant - II to coordinate CTL and grant fiscal activities, working closely with Fiscal Coordinator. You will prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal requirements.

The role involves collaborating with Principal Investigators, program staff, and bureaus to manage grant budgets, payroll entries, and financial reporting, contributing to accurate, timely financial management for NYC

Qualifikationen

• Requires a baccalaureate degree with accounting credits or CPA; experience in public sector accounting preferred.
• Proven ability to manage state/federal grant budgets and prepare budgetJustifications.
• Familiarity with city and state financial regulations and audit standards is a plus.

• Develop and manage grant budgets through lifecycle with PIs and stakeholders.
• Prepare line-item budgets, budget justifications, and supporting documents for new grants.
• Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and ensure timely grant closeouts and reporting.
