Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions is seeking a Granite Polisher to prepare surfaces and polish materials such as marble, granite, and quartz. The role requires careful attention to dimensions while using hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The candidate should be able to read measuring tools, follow templates, and perform quality inspections. Experience with forklifts is a plus, and compliance with PPE and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic Math skills for measuring and calculations are needed.
• Ability to read measuring tools and follow templates.
• Experience in material polishing and familiarity with marble, granite, and quartz is preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Polish material/parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for finishing using hand and power tools.
• Apply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while maintaining dimensions.
• Inspect finished workpieces against templates and measurements; note defects for rework.
• Ensure proper use of equipment and maintain a clean station.
• Collaborate with coworkers and assist other stations as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.

Granite Polisher

• Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools
• Apply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while making sure the dimensions stay the same
• Verify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework
• Ensure proper use of equipment
• Teamwork; helping coworkers in other stations if needed
• Maintain a clean station
• Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.)
• Ensure safety procedures are followed
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Desired

• Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite, and Quartz
• Experience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields
• Experience in material polishing
• Experience operating a forklift

EDUCATION

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED

KNOWLEDGE

Required:

• Basic knowledge in math (adding and subtracting measurements)
• Basic knowledge in maintenance
