Job summary

Sims-Lohman is seeking granite fabricators or general laborers willing to learn a new trade. Start time is 6:30 AM and overtime, including weekends, may be required.

Weekly pay, paid holidays, vacations, and paid time off accompany quarterly bonuses and annual profit sharing as part of a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities include trimming, grinding, and polishing countertops, inspecting finished work, reading shop drawings, and measuring to templates.

Qualifications

• 1+ year polishing and fabricating countertops.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
• Able to read shop drawings and measure.
• Able to work with heavy materials.
• Good attendance record required.

Responsibilities

• Trim, scrape or polish countertops or parts using grinders and other equipment.
• Verify quality of finished countertops by inspecting them and measuring against templates.
• Learn other jobs in the shop.

Throughout the mid-west and south, we have cabinet design showrooms and granite countertop fabrication shops with state-of-the-art fabricating and install equipment.

Sims-Lohman is hiring granite fabricators, or general laborers with a willingness to learn a new trade!

What would a Granite Fabricator do?

• Trim, scrape or polish countertops or parts, using hand grinders and other manufacturing equipment
• Verify quality of finished countertops by inspecting them, comparing them to templates or measuring their dimension
• Learn other jobs in the shop

What I experience or skills do I need?

• Must have a demonstrated GOOD Attendance record
• 1+ Years' experience polishing and fabricating countertops
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools including grinders
• Ability to read shop drawings and use a tape measure
• Ability to work with heavy weight materials
• Ability to operate machinery is a plus, but not required
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
