CHS Inc. in Tacoma, WA is hiring a Terminal Operator to support daily grain terminal operations, including inventory management, loading/unloading, shipping coordination, and quality control.

The role requires a rotating 12-hour shift (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off, including nights and weekends) and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards. You will assist with equipment upkeep, budget alignment, and customer service while maintaining documentation and complying with USDA standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in operations or pipeline production operations.
• Knowledge of terminal automation and equipment operation.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Responsabilités

• Compile daily inventory balance analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate timely shipping orders and ensure specifications are met.
• Oversee loading/unloading (truck, barge) with quality control.
• Perform routine terminal maintenance for efficiency.
• Maintain cost effectiveness within operating budget.
• Support terminal leadership and provide customer-oriented service.
• Monitor equipment and procedures; recommend repairs or replacements.
• Learn USDA grain standards and export loading regulations.
• Assist Terminal Manager to ensure safety and compliance programs.
• Provide direction to junior team members and maintain safety culture.
• Monitor weights and grades of rail, ship, barges and trucks.
• Participate in employee and contractor orientation and training.
• Ensure product quality meets customer requirements; coordinate with inspections.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.
